Married Monday: Date Night

There are many many different things you and your spouse can do together to be considered a date, even going to a fast food restaurant and eating if you think of it as a date then it is. Spending time as a couple together is all that matters even if you’re staying home.

Here is a list of 10 date ideas that will cost little to nothing, and are sure to be a great time.
  1. Netflix binge- plan out an evening or afternoon and sit in front of the TV and watch your favorite show or start a new one together. Popcorn and pizza could top this one off.
  2. Cook a meal together- make a two or three course meal and cook together and then enjoy your hard work together.
  3. Go for a hike or walk- find a park in your area and pick a trail you can do and enjoy the time in nature together.
  4. Bike ride- If you have a good bike trail in your area take a bike ride together.  Exercise is a great way to spend time together and it helps you get healthier.
  5. Antique or flea market shop- go look at other peoples old stuff and see if you can find any treasures for your house. Or even find something that you can help remake together.
  6. Make something together- Build something for your house or yard together.
  7. Play a couple games of Mini golf- do you have a mini golf course close to your house go play together and let your inner child out.
  8. Play at an Arcade- again let your inner child out and go to an arcade and play some games
  9. Go for a drive- go for a drive on the back roads, take the time to talk to each other and enjoy each other’s company.
  10. Get a group of couples together and play card or board games- it’s fun to spend time just the two of you but getting a few couples together for a game night can be just as fun. Play men vs women or set the couples against each other either way it’s sure to be a great time.

My favorites are cooking and going for walks and of course anything to let the inner child in me come out.

I’d love to hear from you what are your favorite date night ideas?

  4. Love almost all of these, but not coordinated enough to ride bikes! ;) Hiking & cooking together are two of our favorites. We also started a garden together this year. (My first. Nathan grew up on a farm.)

    1. We have just started to hike and I'm really enjoying it. Gardens are fun to do together, we don't have the space for one right now but later in life I would love to have one. Thanks for stopping by.
