Hey guys, it’s a 3 day weekend yay!! Last Friday I did not
post and a surprising amount of people pointed it out to me that I didn’t. Well
today I am going to show you why. I decided that I wanted to make a craft post
but I hadn’t done any crafting since we moved, so I went to the store and got
materials and started this Burlap Door Hanger. It is pretty simple and fun to
make it took me about two afternoons. So lets get started.

Snickerdoodles
Today I want to share with you a delicious recipe for snicker doodles. They are a relatively simple recipe to mix together. I got this recipe as a wedding gift from hubby’s neighbors who are great friends; it even came with a lovely platter to put them on. Now this was my first time to make them and some did not turn out as well as I would have liked, but I know what happened so I won’t let it happen to you.

Weekend Recap and Steak and Egg Burritos
This weekend we went back home to visit the families. My
sisiter is going back to New York for school and we won’t see her until
Christmas break. We took the wonderful
hot mess of a dog we have and she got to spend time at her ‘grand parents’
while we got a break from her and went to hang out with my family.
Married Monday: Roles in Marriage
Hey guys I am going to start making my Monday post about being married. I hope to make this a series that hopefully helps someone, but also just lets me talk about whats in my head and my experience as I grow as a wife.
I want to start with talking about marriage and the roles of a husband and wife. Now let me start off by saying I am no expert or am even good at doing my role but I have researched a lot and have seen what the bible says on it.

Homemade Tortillas
The other night we had tacos and as much as I love store
tortillas I decided to try making my own.
I looked up a few different ways and found one that looked simple and
pretty good. This is an incredibly easy to make recipe, with only 4 ingredients
that you probably always have on hand.

Weekend Recap
Hey guys I hope you had a great weekend!
We sure did we went into Little Rock to shop. I hadn't thought about it but I haven't been real just fun shopping in over a month! We found a mall, I didn't get anything but that never has seemed to be the point of shopping to me, I just was happy to walk around and see things. Then we went off to Bed Bath and Beyond which is one of my favorite stores. We finally found an art piece to hang on the wall that was on sale and we both liked, SCORE! We went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time and enjoyed it! Who knew they could make rolls better then Logan's, and the chicken fried stake was ah-maz-ing! Oh and I can not forget we got a microwave finally! Yes it's true we have gone over a month without a microwave, its possible but not my preferred method.

Bathroom Makeover Part 1
This is a post that will have a few follow ups
because the bathrooms in this house really needs some help. When we were
looking for a place to rent we were pretty picky and didn’t want an apartment,
we thought we wanted a duplex, but then decided without looking that we wanted
a townhouse owned by the same company. We signed the lease then went to look at
our soon to be new townhome, it was great and the kitchen was big and the rooms
were huge. The bathroom though, wow was tiny! The storage space was good though
big shelves above the toilet, and space under the little vanity.

Remembering to Pray for Your Husband
Hey there friends!
This has been a crazy week! I had to spend most of yesterday catching up on the
cleaning that I didn’t do the rest of the week, including the mess that was the
kitchen. Having this puppy has changed my daily routine a lot as well as my
sleep schedule. She is the main reason my kitchen was not as clean as I like,
with her ability to get her food around the bowl, dragging in grass from
outside, and somehow getting water everywhere from her bowl. She also causes me
to wake up twice in the night to let her outside, which is fine but she likes
to play afterward and not just go back to sleep. So when I put her back in the
crate she whines for a while after.

One month and Meat Lasagna
Monday was mine and hubby’s 1 month anniversary of being married. We don’t plan to celebrate monthly like you do when you start dating but I thought it would be fun to surprise him with one of his all time favorite meals, lasagna. He loves his mom’s lasagna, which is awesome, and he loves my meat sauce, so I put my sauce with her cheese mixture and made a great combo!

Weekend Recap and Cheesy Pasta Bake!
This weekend was
the hubby’s annual family reunion, which we look forward to all summer long.
This was my fourth year to go but this year was a bit different, I’m now an
official part of the family and I got to stay with the hubby all night, and we
cooked a meal for the first time.
There were Mario Kart
races, boat rides, relaxing, jet skiing, lots of good times and food, tons of
food! We ate breakfast, then snacks,
then a nice big lunch, then a lot more snacks, then lots of pizza and after
more snacks and deserts, more food than anyone needs to eat! Like I said this
year we offered to make lunch on Saturday, we decided to make a pretty simple
Cheesy Pasta Bake.

Homemaking- Cleaning Schedule
Today I want to talk about homemaking and being a housewife.
See there are many stay at home mom blogs, new mom, and even house making ones
but there is a big lack of new wife blogs.
For that reason along with my recipes and crafting I want this to be a
place that new wives can come to and relate to what is going on in my life and
know they are not alone.
When we decided to make the move to Conway for Hubby’s job I
wasn’t sure when or if I would start work. Well after two weeks I can say going
to work may be the easier route! I felt that I was being called to be a
housewife and take care of my husband and home, and I still think I am but not
right away.

Pork Tenderloin with Blueberry Balsamic Reduction with a side of Gnocchi with Renee’s Mornay Sauce
Hey guys!! Welome to my first
recipe post! I’m so excited to share these with you, this was my first meal
that was entirely my own recipe and idea and it turned out soo
yummy! I made this for my husband while we were engaged for one of our date
nights. It was his first time trying gnoochi and lucky for me he loved it.
This sauce is one I have been making
for years adapted from a recipe found online, it sometimes gets a little thick
but no worries I have a tip in here for that. Don’t be intimidated by the reduction sauce it is
very simple and blueberry goes so well with pork. I will hush for now and let you get to the
recipes, I hope you enjoy them.

Hey there! Well last post I rambled on a little bit about
being married is a big change, but I didn’t get to share any of the awesomeness
that was my first week of marriage, the HONEYMOON.

I'm Married!!!??!!
Thank you for giving my little blog a try. I have attempted
to start many different ones over the years and always seem to taper off after
a few entries that really weren’t even that good. The difference between those and this one is
mainly this time I want to write and I want to share my recipes, thoughts, and
ideas, I want to share what I feel starting this incredible new journey of
being a wife. This time I want to stick to it, that’s the biggest
difference, and I will this time.
Well as of the time I write this post I have been married
for all of three weeks, and I must say I had no idea the change it really would
be. We had been together four years and
two months the day we said I Do so I thought not much would be different
other than living with each other and being together a lot more of the day.
Well really that is what changed but a lot came with that.
