Married Monday: A Year of Date Ideas and a Challenge

I want to challenge you this year to be intentional with dating your husband. Yup that’s right I want you to go on dates. We try to go out or take one evening at least every couple weeks to hang out together. These don't have to be elaborate things they can simply be watching a movie and cooking dinner together. Here is a list of 12 dates to do during the year, one for each month.

  • January-Netflix dat-its could outside so cuddle up together and watch a season of a new show or pick a movie neither of you have seen and watch. Don't forget the popcorn and snacks.
  • February- Valentine's day or any day, do dessert first. Yup eat your dessert first or only have dessert. Enjoy some decadent chocolatey treats together.
  • March- A fun St. Patricks day date. This scavenger hunt from Dating Divas looks fun!
  • April- Cook a themed dinner together. Movie theme, cuisine theme, iron chef you pick and then hang out and make a delicious meal and memories.
  • May – Head out and take a walk or hike. We have two great mountains to hike nearby and it is always fun to go get some fresh air together.
  • June- Go on a picnic. This could be in your backyard, living room, or a park. Spread out a blanket have some sandwiches and enjoy your time together.
  • July- Anything he wants. A night where you go to his favorite restaurant, see a movie he wants, go window shop at the places he likes to wander around.
  • August- Comedy night. Go to a local comedy show or watch a favorite comedian show.
  • September- Tailgate. Go support your favorite team and enjoy a tailgate or stay home and have the tailgate food while watching your team play.
  • October- Beer Crawl. It's Octoberfest time, if you have one locally, or go to a brewery and try something new.
  • November- It's up to her. Like anything he want night but for her. She gets to pick her favorite restaurant, a movie she's dying to see and so on.
  • December- Spirit of Christmas. Go for a stroll to see the lights, drink hot chocolate, you can even go see Santa. Spend time together during the busy season.

There you have it 12 date nights for the year. Each month take some time to spend with the one you love and just be together. Will you take my challenge?
