Married Monday: Importance of Praying With and For your Husband
Last week we discussed the importance of spending time with
God and how it can affect your marriage. This week we are going to discuss why
prayer, praying for your marriage and husband are important. Prayer is your
lifeline/connection to God. We have the ability to talk with the one who can
perform miracles and can help in any circumstance!
Praying with Your Husband
Praying together deepens your communication, unites you
spiritually, and it helps to build your marriage. You say things to God that
you may not say to your spouse in a normal conversation, but praying together
your spouse will hear those things. This
will let them know the things that are on your heart, the things that are
troubling you, and same for you.

Pesto Stuffed Chicken Thighs
If you weren't aware chicken thighs are awesome! We eat them
often they are my favorite probably because they are so moist no matter how you
cook them. I have wanted to stuff chicken for a while now but could not think
of what would be good to use. I finally realized it when I saw a recipe for
pesto stuffed breast.

What's in that McNugget? Behind the Chicken at McDonald's!
I am a brand ambassador for
McDonald’s of Central Arkansas and am being compensated for this post, all
thoughts and opinions though are my own.
McDonald’s serves a lot of chicken! Of course, you already knew that though, I mean, who hasn’t ever tried a McNugget? They have many different types of chicken as well. I just found out they brought back the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit and was so pumped, plus they are 2 for $3!!! I am excited to share with you today TRUTH about the chicken that McDonald’s uses and how they make their McNuggets.
The Chickens
McDonald’s recently released its new antibiotic policy. "McDonalds is committed to using chicken that is not raised with antibiotics important to human medicine. McDonald’s has been working closely with farmers for years to reduce the use of antibiotics in our supply, and are committed to stop using antibiotics important to human medicine in chicken production for McDonald’s USA by March 2017." Statement from McDonald's Corporate office.
The Meat
McNuggets are made using white-meat chicken from the breast,
rib, tender, and grind it with a bit of skin. Even though the meat is formed, it
is 100 percent real chicken. They are formed in four shapes and
partially fried then flashed frozen. And
then fully fried before serving.

Chicken sandwiches are made using
100% real chicken. Each sandwich has its own formula for which meat is used. The grilled chicken uses a breast filet with
NO preservatives that is seared in-house. Crispy sandwich uses a breast filet
as well. The McChicken is a blend of dark and white meat,

Chicken Selects are made using chicken tenderloin that is
then battered and fried.

What is your favorite McDonald's Chicken?? Personally, I am a huge fan of the southwest chicken but the selects are so good!!

Married Monday: The Importance of Spending Time with God
Do you spend time everyday alone with God? I’m guilty of not taking out the time and really sitting with God. I say prayers throughout the day but really focusing on that time and not letting life sneak into my mind I am not so good at. I’m one of those people who do a devotional every few days instead of remembering to every day. I can tell the difference on the days where I do remember, my attitude is better, I’m happier and just feel more joy.

Roasted Vegetables
My latest love in the kitchen has been roasting, especially
vegetables. Roasting brings out a whole new flavor to the vegetables, many that
I would not eat any other way.
I have been roasting vegetables on Sundays to use for my
lunches throughout the week. It is an
easy tasty way to eat healthier at lunch. I have used a variety of different
types; my most common are turnips, potatoes, onions, carrots, bell peppers, and
sweet potatoes.

Married Monday: Going on Adventures
We have all heard that you should could continue to date
your spouse long after your married, and I wrote out a list of dates that you could go on. What happens though when life
starts to get in your way and date nights sometimes fall to the side? Well then
it is time to go on an adventure together. Once a month or so get out and try
something new together. This is even better than a weekly or monthly date
night.

Has it Really Been 9 Months!!?
It has been a while since I did an update on our lives. So I
wanted to take today and share what has been going on.
Well it has now been 9 months since we got married and moved
down to Conway. It seems crazy to think
it has been that long and to think that’s all it’s been. It feels like yesterday I was walking down
the aisle to become one with the love of my life. Looking forward to our honey
moon and the move, I looked at some pictures yesterday from the cruise and wish
I could go back. On the other hand it feels like this is the only normal I have
ever known, being married and living with my Hubby.

Strawberry Angel Food Trifle
This dessert looks fancy and is a great addition to any
dessert table. The secret though is that it is one of the simplest desserts to
make! It will look like you slaved away on it, but it only takes just a little
bit to make!

Easter Reflections
Easter is a sign of spring, and people think of fluffy
bunnies, little chicks, candy and delicious Easter lunch. Though these things
are cute and fun they are not why we celebrate Easter. Many of you know this
story but today I am going to share it anyways, in faith that it will reach
someone who needs to see it.

Caramel Oatmeal Cookies
I was in the mood for some cookies and didn’t have a lot of things to add into it. I remembered though I had some leftover oatmeal from my Strawberry Banana Oatmeal Bake, I didn’t have raisins, though. They are my favorite oatmeal cookie add in, I did however have some caramel bits from my Apple Pie Egg Rolls. So I said what the heck I will add them in. Here are the results. Pure Deliciousness!
