Strawberry Angel Food Trifle

This dessert looks fancy and is a great addition to any dessert table. The secret though is that it is one of the simplest desserts to make! It will look like you slaved away on it, but it only takes just a little bit to make!

You need:
2 lbs fresh strawberries
1 loaf of angel food cake
1 ½ tubs of cool whip ( you can make your own whipped cream if you like)
½ cup of sugar

Slice your strawberries so that you can still see the shape of the berry.  Keep a few of the perfect strawberries to use for the top decoration.  Cube your angel food into about ½ inch pieces.
Add the sugar to the strawberries and let sit for at least 15 minutes, until there is some juice in the bottom of the bowl.
Add a layer of angel food  so that it covers the bottom of your dish in a single layer. Add in about a 1/3 or ¼ of the strawberries.   **Note- With each layer of strawberries take some of the slices and place onto the side of the dish so that you can see them well. This gives it a nice look for presentation. ** Cover with whipped cream. Repeat until you run out or your bowl is full. Whipped cream will be your last layer.
Smooth out the whipped cream and finish off with the strawberries you had set aside.

That is it your done :)
