Welcome to the last week in this series, I hope you are
enjoying it as much as I am. This week we are talking about being honest and
dependable. Honest is defined as free of deceit and untruthful, sincere.
Dependable is being truthful and reliable. Now these are two very basic traits of being a
decent human so I am going to try and explain the importance of it in your
marriage.

Ronald McDonald House Day of Change and an Interview with Ronald McDonald
Exciting news, I am a brand ambassador for McDonald’s of Central Arkansas!! I am required by the FTC to let you know that I am being compensated for these posts. I am not writing about McDonald’s for the compensation but because I love what the company is doing and want to share it with all of you. I'm Lovin' It!
Tuesday the 24th was Day of Change at the Central
Arkansas McDonald’s benefiting the Ronald McDonald house. I was lucky enough to
be able to help out and even got to talk to with Ronald himself! The day was a fundraiser for the Ronald
McDonald House Charity. The funds raised will go towards the building of the
new Little Rock house. The current house holds 28 rooms and helps 10,000
families a year. It is a house that houses that many families, the bathroom
facilities are shared amongst the people staying. The new house will hold 36
families at a time, each room having its own bathroom and siting room. They are
all very excited for how awesome this new house will be. Plans to break ground
are in June or July of this year! Click here for more information on the new house.

Cinnamon Oatmeal Waffles with Cinnamon Apple Topping
Today is International Waffle Day! We are not big waffle eaters and because of this I do not have a waffle iron, so celebrating this
day is going to be hard for me. So I asked Amy over at The Gifted Gabber
to share her recipe. I must say it looks delicious!
What a great week! Spring break, International Waffle
Day, and my first guest post! Many thanks to Renee for letting me share a
little corner of her world.

Married Monday: Character Traits of A Good Wife Part 3 Patient and Considerate
Welcome to part 3 of the character traits of a good wife
series today we will be talking about being patient and considerate. As I did
last week let’s start with defining the traits. Having patience means having
the capacity to tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or
upset. Being considerate means being
careful not to cause inconvenience or hurt to others. So lets figure out what exactly that has to
do with being a wife.

Time for Spring Cleaning and a Checklist
Well it is the first day of spring today and we have finally had some very pretty days this last week, its that time of the year where you clean out your house. Why it was decided that spring needed to have a good clean out day I’m not sure but this weekend I am taking on the challenge.
I think the best approach is to take it one room at a time,
and if you have as bad history of getting sidetracked as I do while cleaning,
focus on one part of the room at a time. While I clean and organize I will also
be getting rid of things I don’t need. I’m going to share with you my list and
what I plan to do in each room.

Creamy Fettuccine One Pot Dish
One of Hubby’s
favorite Italian dishes is fettuccine and while it is not my favorite I try to
find recipes that I enjoy so we can have it for dinner. Well this one is
amazing, I would eat it every night and it is sooo easy! Plus since it is in one pot then the cleanup
is quick.

Lucky Kettle Corn in Honor of National Popcorn Lovers Day
This week is full of green food, why you ask, because St.
Patrick’s Day is next Tuesday! What’s the first thing you think of when you
think St. Patty’s Day, for me it is green, Irish, and the Lucky Charm leprechaun.
In honor of National Popcorn Lovers Day tomorrow (3-12) I decided to mix up some
kettle corn (yes homemade) add some green and of course those fun little
marshmallows from the cereal. Look at this awesome retro designed box I found
at Target!

Spring is Almost Here Free Printable
With all the snow that has hit a lot of the state this week
it is hard to imagine that spring is just two weeks away. I have found a cute
easy way to add some spring to your house. Printables!
I will share two custom spring time printables.
All you have to do is download them print them out and put them in a cute little frame. As
soon as I am able to escape the house I am out to buy a cheap picture frame and
some glitter spray paint and make a cutsey spring frame. I will add to
this post as soon as it is done. I wanted to share these with you now so that
you can use them as you plan your spring decorations.

French Silk Pie
For Hubby’s birthday last week I whipped him up this delicious French Silk Pie. I had made one before that turned out perfectly but sadly I have since lost the recipe, it has been at least three years and I hoped that this one would turn out just as good. So I set out to try and find the recipe that I used after looking through I figured that I used one from the Food Network, and there was one from The Pioneer Woman and if you weren't aware that woman can cook anything, so I decided to work with hers.

Married Monday: Character Traits of a Good Wife Part 1
This month for the Married Monday Post I am going to be breaking
down character traits of a good wife. In elementary school each month we had a character
word, we went over it in class, our principle would tell us what it meant
during our morning announcements each week. These words after spending 5 years
in the school became a part of who we were. While subbing I have found that
most schools don’t take the time to teach these traits to the students, and it
shows a difference in how the kids grow up.
I went and found my old list of words that was sent home
with us way back then and picked the ones I believe make a difference in life
as a wife. I also asked my husband, and some other bloggy friends asked their
husbands, then I narrowed it down to these six words that will be broke down
the next three weeks.
These traits are.. insert drumroll here…
Honest and Dependable
Before we get started next week I would love to hear how you
think these words apply and if you have any other traits that you (or your
husband) think are very important.
Have a wonderful week!
