McDonald’s is the center of many memories for me. My sister and I ate more Happy Meals than I can count. We loved them and always knew exactly what we wanted, she would go for the McNuggets and I would have a cheeseburger. We didn’t have all the healthy options kids do now, but we didn’t want them anyway, McDonald’s fries were and still are the very best, in my opinion.
During the summers our Papa would watch us, and we would go
to the park next to the local library to fish. This park was also a short
walking distance from McDonald’s. I can remember getting our food and sitting at
one of the picnic tables and eating while we took a break from fishing. These are my favorite memories.
Being kids, we of course loved to play, we did not have a
huge Play Palace though when I was younger. We had a cool play area that was
outside, I don’t remember all of it but I do remember it having a large
cheeseburger head that you could climb in. I asked my mom to see if she had any
pictures of this Mayor McCheese I was remembering and ohh she- plus some I
think I had a couple birthday parties at McDonald’s, this was my 4th
birthday and I must say I was cute. I'm not sure how parties work now but back then, they gave you a cake, all the paper goods, did the set up and clean up AND gave you a helper for the length of the party- a mom's dream birthday party.
While I’m remembering my childhood at McDonald’s, they are featuring their prices from years past. Big Mac and Quarter Pounder meals are $3.99 on Thursdays participating locations in Conway and North Little Rock!! I rarely get a value meal because the price has gone up so much but this summer I am enjoying my Quarter Pounder with cheese on Thursdays.
And we can’t forget the Big Mac! I have actually never tried one, mostly because I am not a big fan of that much bread. Maybe one day though I will try it out.

What is your favorite Throw Back memory at McDonald's?
Oh, I remember playing in that big Hamburgler Jail on the playground - so much fun. I had one birthday at McDonald's but I remember I got mad because I didn't like the sprinkles they put on the cake, haha! Have I mentioned I'm a really picky eater??!!
