4th of July Weekend Recap

This weekend was great! We got to see family, friends and of course fireworks.  My best friend wedding was Saturday so it was a full weekend.

Friday morning we headed north to go home. I first though had to pick up the wedding cakes! That was a nerve racking drive through curves and hills, but I made it there and nothing was damaged.  We helped finishing setting up and making sure the lodge was ready for Saturday. I headed out to lunch with the bride at Barnette’s which is a fun little dairy bar in Siloam Springs that has delicious hamburgers.  Then the girls all got their nails done. All in time to head back out to the venue for the rehearsal and dinner.  For a joint bachelor and bachelorette party the wedding party went to play laser tag. This is not your typical laser tag; police and army train on their course because it is that realistic. It was pretty awesome and harder then it looked.

I love this pic!
Saturday was the big day and the 4th! That morning we got ready and looked great, the bride though she looked stunning. We got to the lodge and it was time for pictures, lots of pictures, that I can not wait to see! Then we were off in full swing wedding mode. It went off without a hitch and it was great!

This was their guest book, such a great idea!

The reception area, beautiful and simple.

These were our bouquets, She made each one of them!
Then after cleanup it was time for hubby and I to get into relax mode and jump in the pool with a nice cold drink. Which felt ah-mazing! Then smoked ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, and corn for dinner  to top it off! Later we went and found a spot by the lake to watch the fire work show. We went with friends and their new baby who I just love seeing! The show was great and the weather was perfect!!
Me, Lisa and baby Brooke!

This was my best firework picture this year, so I'll share it :)
We had a wonderful time celebrating all the festivities and seeing everyone. How did you celebrate the 4th
