Married Monday: Winter Date Ideas

I love going on dates with my hubby and the cold weather doesn't slow that down. There are many great ideas that you can do in the colder months, especially with the holidays. This is a season where it easy to get so busy and wrapped up in activities and to do list that date nights can slip right out of your mind. They are still important and good for your marriage though so heres a list of my favorite ideas.

Go on a tour of the lights. Is there a area of your town that lights up for the Christmas season? In NWA the Fayetteville Square is lit up and so much fun to walk around. Even if there isn't a place like that to go you can get some hot chocolate and drive around neighborhoods and see what people have put out.

Go on a shopping trip together. Take an afternoon to shop for your families together. This is a good way to get things done and spend time together. Shopping in the crowds can be stressful but if you make it a fun way to be together it doesn't have to be.

Movie night. Pick a Christmas movie, make some hot chocolate, grab some cookies and a blanket, cuddle up together and enjoy a night in. These are some of my favorite nights, I love staying in and just relaxing.

Outside Fun. Do you have snow? We don't in Arkansas but you might. Go build a snowman or have a snowball fight. It doesn't get much more wintery than that.

Decorate cookies. We normally do some type of gingerbread house, but that always just gets thrown away after a few days. So why not decorate cookies, they could be gingerbread or just sugar cookies. Grab some icing and sprinkles and spend an evening decorating and enjoying each other. These could also double as gifts for neighbors or coworkers.

These are just a few fun ideas that are some of my favorites. What are your favorite winter dates?
