Marriage Monday: My Favorite Devotionals for Wives

The last couple weeks I have talked about why we should spend time with God and the power of prayer with your spouse, so today I wanted to share my favorite devotionals for wives. I have read the first 3 and the last one is on my list next that looks amazing.

A Wife After Gods Own Heart By Elizabeth George
A Wife After God’s Own Heart reveals how you can have what every married woman desires — a wonderful marriage filled with mutual love, friendship, romance, and happiness. As an added bonus, each chapter ends with “little things” you can do today to enhance your relationship with your husband.

Wife After God is a refreshing and inspirational 30 day marriage devotional for wives who desire to have a deeper more fulfilling relationship with God and their husbands. This devotional study was prayerfully composed with 30 days of biblical concepts and practical challenges to help you nourish your relationship with God and your relationship with your husband in marriage into ones that are captivating, intimate and extraordinary. Every day you will be presented with a biblical topic to help draw your nearer to your God and your husband. You will find that as your relationship with the creator deepens so will your love for your husband.

The Love Dare By Stephen Kendrick
The Love Dare personally leads you through daily devotionals, records your thoughts and experiences, and ends each day daring you to perform a simple act of love for your spouse. This 40-Day journey equips you to melt hardened, separated hearts into an enduring love that can withstand the flames of fear, pride and temptation. The Love Dare book will help you reinforce and enrich your marriage, earn back a love you thought was lost, and hear more about the One who not only designed unconditional, sacrificial love—He illustrated it.

The Power of a Praying Wife By Stormie Omartian
Stormie joyfully inspires you to develop a deeper relationship with your husband by utilizing the amazing power of prayer. This uplifting resource is packed with practical advice on praying for specific areas of your husband’s life, including his; decision-making, fears, spiritual strength, role as father, leader, faith and future.  If you desire a closer relationship with your spouse, you will appreciate the life illustrations, encouraging Bible verses, and the assurances of God’s promises and power for your marriage.

These devotionals guide you through your time with God and will help you become the wife God has called each of us to be. Being married is not for the easily broken, it takes work but as long as you rely on God all things are possible. Taking a good marriage to great or even better only takes a little work on your part and a whole lot of giving God your marriage and letting go.
What devotionals have you read as a wife or woman that have helped you become better? I would love to check them out!
