Married Monday: Character Traits to Look for in a Husband

   The last three weeks I have broken down character traits that all good wives should have. Today I am going to talk about some that husbands should have.

• Leadership- As the head of the household a husband needs to have leadership skills and the ability to lead your family strongly in faith.
• Honest-  We a wife being honest, and for the same reasons husband should be. You should be able to trust that your husband is not lying to you. An honest person makes a much better spouse.
• Faithful- This could be read two ways, faithful in marriage, or be strong in faith for his God.  He should be trustworthy in being true to his vows and to his wife. As well he has a strong belief in God. 
• Respect- He should have respectful behavior both towards you and while around you.
• Dependable- Being dependable was also one of the most important for a wife to possess. You should know that he will do what he says he will. And he will be there for you whenever you need it.
• Kind- He will be kind and nice with the people around him. Especially his wife, remembering that he is called to be kind with her.
• Gentle-  He should be gentle, being mild in temperament and not harsh. Speaking with his wife and children a man can be firm but not harsh, so he is gentle to those he encounters.
• Integrity- Having integrity means you do the right thing when no one is watching. He will have strong morals. Acting with integrity at all times takes a very strong man to do is one of the best character traits.
