Weekend Recap Tulsa State Fair

I hope you had a great weekend we had an eventful one again this week.  Friday we headed home to stay with my parents so we could leave early for the Tulsa State Fair Saturday which took most of the day then Sunday we did our normal routine of relaxing and hanging out with friends.

Friday when Hubby got home from work we loaded up the car and Tesla and headed out for the almost 3 hour drive. She is great in the car thankfully and just sleeps. Once we got into town we got to see some friends that we haven’t seen since the wedding! Which is way too long. Then headed out to the loved Guido’s for some pizza we can’t get down here.

Married Monday: Being A Proverbs 31 Wife Part 1

What does the bible say in Proverbs about being a wife, or a godly woman? This is for wives but if you are single and live on your own this can still apply to keeping your house and living your life.
Today I will show you the scripture by section then break it down.  From New Living Translation Proverbs 31:10-21.

Mushroom and Chicken Skillet

Its Friday! Yay this week I have a delicious chicken thigh recipe that is very simple. I have been trying to think of ways to get the Hubby to eat more veggies and with that I knew the best place to start was with mushrooms since he already likes them pretty well. This is a Chicken and Mushroom recipe that can be made in one pan (as long as it’s oven safe). I adapted this from Chungah at Damn Delicious.

Zeppole- Fried Italian Dessert

Hey guys as promised I am going to share the Zeppole recipe that I made for our Italian meal the other week. These are basically a fried donut that is light and fluffy, coat in sugar or cinnamon sugar or even powdered sugar and they are to die for. This is such an easy batter/dough it looks a little funny but works so well. I googled Italian desserts and came across a video of this elderly Italian grandma making these and you know that means they are going to be perfect, I did not change them much so I will link to the video at the bottom of this page.

Weekend Recap- Cinnamon Roll Recipe

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I did! The In-Laws came over for the first time and got to see our town, then I took a trip home to go to a baby shower to honor some close family friends. It was an eventful weekend and I am still recovering from all the driving.

Friday evening Hubby’s wonderful parents came down and spent the night we had so much fun. Hubby made some of the best stakes ever and grilled some awesome asparagus that we all loved. We took them on a tour of the town and even hit up a farmers market that I had no idea was there and I can’t wait to make it a regular stop on the weekend. Saturday morning I made homemade cinnamon rolls that turned out soooo stinking good I just have to share them with you.  First though read what I else I did this weekend.

Yummy gooey amazingness!

Homemade Pizza with Crust Recipe

How often do you order pizza or bake one from the store or a take and bake store? I bet it is much more often than making a pizza from scratch. If that is not the case for you I applaud you in your pizza skills and am excited to share with you a crust recipe that you can try. Those of you that it does apply to prepare to try the homemade pizza and never go back to bought again!

Weekend Recap: Petit Jean State Park and Wedding Pictures

Hey yall! I hope you had a great weekend. Here it was cold Saturday and gorgeous out Sunday and we took advantage of it. I love weekends with the Hubby and Tesla.

Saturday we woke up early to a cool 57* outside and 74* inside it was awesome. We decided to go on another hike this weekend. This time we went to Petit Jean State Park in Morrilton. We hiked down to the falls and then back up to the camp site.   It is a bit of a pain to drive to from where we are, well that could have been that Google Maps took us the scenic route instead of the interstate, but the way back wasn’t too bad. They have a lot of different trails that I would love to try out, it is gorgeous out there.  Afterwards we came home and enjoyed a relaxing day of Netflix and pizza.

Married Monday: I'm Married Update

This week will be a pretty short update on my take on marriage now that we have been married two months, I must be an expert by now right. I will say now it’s starting to feel much more regular and normal now and like it’s always been this way.

What makes me laugh is how some days the littlest things that don’t truly matter are the things that drive me insane. That’s always happened to me because I can be a little nuts some times, but now it seems to bubble up more and I can now just let them go.

String Art DIY

A while back I made a string art project and I am so ready to make another one.

Using this tutorial I made my very own heart string art. I did not put LOVE inside it as this one does mainly because the letters I had printed off were two large for the space and I was tired of hammering nails.

Simple Delicious Stir Fry

Who’s ready for a recipe? I know I’m always ready for one and this couldn't be any simpler. Tuesday I threw together a Chinese (well my version) Stir Fry using some rice noodles I had in the pantry, and some chicken.

Weekend Recap: Pinnacle Mountain

Hope yall had a great weekend! We sure did.  Friday Minecraft came out so we spent most of the evening playing. Saturday we relaxed and took the dog on a few walks. Sunday though was our exciting day we hiked a mountain!

Minecraft is a video game on Xbox if you didn’t know. Now typically playing games is not something you will find me doing, but this one I love. It is basically building and breaking blocks and I play the mode where you can’t die and things aren’t attacking you. It sure is fun!! Now Hubby enjoys playing the mode where you can die, no surprise there he likes a challenge, and he enjoys playing that way with his friends online while I watch.  It was a great way to spend Friday evening.
Saturday was full of wearing out the dog who is soooo energetic. We went on three walks and she still could have done more.

Married Monday: Date Night

There are many many different things you and your spouse can do together to be considered a date, even going to a fast food restaurant and eating if you think of it as a date then it is. Spending time as a couple together is all that matters even if you’re staying home.

Remake Burger King Chicken Fries

In our house I cook during the week and Hubby gets to cook on the weekends, we do this because we both love to cook and this way we both get some time to do so. Cooking is one of our ways to escape the ins and outs of life and just take a break and make something to enjoy.  Last weekend Hubby found a video on how to make chicken fries like Burger King does and decided he wanted to make them, so Sunday we had these awesome chicken ‘fries’.

Married Monday: Personal and Together Time

As I sit here watching Hubby play a game on his Xbox I’m thinking how this is a good thing, that we can sit together and be together but be doing separate things.  This has not always been the case probably right until we were engaged, for some reason or another, we always had to be doing the same thing which got annoying and hard to find stuff we wanted to both do. But now it is nice to be able to do separate things together.

Weekend Recap

Hey guys I hope you are having a great Labor Day weekend, we sure are. Hubby got a half day Friday which is always great and a three day weekend to top it off, got to love big companies. Saturday was the start to the Razorback football season, and Sunday was a day of rest,  today well it may be another day of rest ;).
