Guest Foodie Friday Post at Arkansas Women Bloggers

Today I have a post over at Arkansas Women Bloggers! I love this group of ladies and getting to write for them. This is my first Foodie Friday post which was super exciting to write and create for!

Today's post is all about how to throw a Tapas Party. You know those little Spanish dishes that come on cute small plates. I have a lot of small plates and bowls and I couldn't wait to use them for my tapas party, it was their first time in years being put to their real use.

Earlier this week I shared my Spanish Bruschetta that I made for the party, you can see the rest of the recipes over at Arkansas Women Bloggers.

This was my second big photo shoot using my new camera and I had so much fun styling and working on each dish so that it looked great. Thanks to my Craftsy class my pictures are getting better and better but are still a work in progress. You can read all about the class here.

Have you ever thrown a tapas party or made a delicious tapas? I would love to hear about here or over at the ARWB site.

Friday Favorites

This month has been full of great things so I thought I would take a moment and reflect on my favorites. It is easy to get caught in a hard moment and forget all of the wonderful things that are going on in your life. This month has had some ups and downs for sure. A down is that my great grandma died (she was 97), while that was sad it also made me remember my grandma and my aunt who have died and that made me sadder because I did not get to spend nearly enough time with them. My great grandma though had not seen her husband in twenty years, 2 daughters in many years, as well as her siblings and parents, she got to see them again in the most glorious of places and I know she is happy there and it was her time to go, so I am glad she has gone home.

Arkansas Women Bloggers Guest Post

I love the community in the Arkansas Women Bloggers, they are all great people. The owner Stephine (The Park Wife) works so hard for us, connecting the members to clients that want to pay bloggers to help with their brands. It is because of her that I am able to write my McDonald posts and share the great things they are doing. The whole group though is full of ladies who want to help others and grow. If you follow me on social media (click the buttons to the right) then you have heard me talk about Arkansas Women Bloggers University or AWBU. This is their yearly conference where we get to spend 3 days together learning, growing and making new connections. There are workshops and speakers all there to help us members improve our blogs and businesses. It's only a couple weeks away and I am so excited, and I can not wait to come back implement and share what I learned there!

McDonald's Famous Hamburger and the New Sirloin Burger

I am a brand ambassador for McDonald’s of Central Arkansas and am being compensated for this post, all thoughts and opinions though are my own.

McDonald’s hamburgers are world famous, a piece of American history in a bag with an order of delicious fries and a soft drink. Their beef burgers include a 100% beef patty with all the trimmings. You can choose from bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, honey barbecue glaze and a smoky peppered mayo, and so much more all in a cheese-topped bun.

Kid Meals were the taste of my childhood, a #6 Double Cheeseburger with fries is the taste of my present (especially to take on a picnic with my hubby), and now, the taste of the future for me is the new sirloin burger.

Being Generous

Yesterday I had a guest post go live on the Arkansas Women Bloggers Site! I love getting a chance to write for them, each month has a theme, this month was Generosity.

I wrote about how you can be more generous, without spending money, which when you start to think about it there are quite a few ways. Of course you can always give money to a cause that means a lot to you, but to the people around you, YOU are much more valuable to them then your money.
